Obituary of Kevin "JJ" DeWolfe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin "JJ" DeWolfe, 38, of Truro, on December 9, 2024, at the QEII Hospital in Halifax, surrounded by those who meant the most to him. Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Helen Zimmer (Eldon); his sisters, Mary (William) and Victoria (Sheldon); as well as his very special nieces and nephew: Nevaeh, Maddison, Madeline, Mataya, and Mason. He also leaves behind many siblings and extended family members who will forever cherish their memories of him. Above all, Kevin loved his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary MacKinnon; his uncle, Floyd Zimmer; his stepfather, Chris Rushton; and his brothers, Michael Ead and Jeremy DeWolfe. Kevin was known for his courageous heart in difficult times and his ability to brighten even the darkest of days with his infectious laugh and teasing humor. He never shied away from hard work but also took joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as playing video games—especially Zelda. Kevin also loved watching Dragon Ball Z and collecting Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the QEII Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time. There will be no formal service."
