It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Adrian ‘Ade’ Fowler, 90, on October 18, 2024. Ade was born and raised in Glace Bay to the late Joseph and Sarah (Campbell) Fowler.
Ade proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 34 years before his retirement in 1986. He was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan and known for his love of walking. Always a devoted husband and father, in 2004 he took on his greatest role as Papa to the light of his life Abby. Always there for her and always her biggest fan, they shared a very special bond.
Ade will always be loved and sadly missed by his loving wife Alma (Currie), daughter Terri Lynn and his granddaughter Abby. He is also survived by his sister Dolly Sollazzo, sister-in-law Myrna Shaw and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Cecil, Fred, Fabian and George and sisters Christina, Neila, Kitty and Chrissy.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 320 Reserve St, Glace Bay N.S., 902-849-4199. A private family service will take place at a later date.
