Obituary of Joanne MacDonald

Joanne MacDonald Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Joanne MacDonald, age 66, at Seaview Manor with her loving husband Dave by her side. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Barbara (McCabe) Cameron. Joanne enjoyed playing darts, watching wrestling and going for drives with Dave. She loved spending time with her large extended family. Joanne is survived by her loving husband Dave of 40 years, they started dating when they were just young teenagers; her son, Patty; sisters, Karen (Henry), Wendy and Sheila (John); brothers, Billy (Judy), Jimmy, Stephen, Bruce and Clint (Shannon); sisters-in-law, Joanne, Shirley (Ivan) and Bev; brother-in-law, Gary, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Moureen and Debbie; brother John; several sisters and brothers-in-law. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Norman presiding all taking place in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Donations may be made in memory of Joanne to the Diabetic Association of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
