Obituary of Dennis Joseph Isadore

Dennis Joseph Isadore, 69, of Wagmatcook First Nation, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 15, 2024. Dennis was a man of many talents and trades. He was a carpenter, Conservation Officer, trapper, and a bingo caller for many years. Dennis also spent many years working at the Wagmatcook Gas Bar. He also worked as a manager for Indian Bay Store in Wagmatcook. In his early years, he worked in Maine as a blueberry and potato picker and driver. He was also a Lobster fisherman, ran a fox farm, and Tower watcher in the Highlands. He would also help his friend working on the hayfields. Dennis loved nature of all aspects and loved all kinds of sports. He would always have a smile and a greeting for anyone he would meet at any time. His pastime would be playing the VLT’s or playing Bingo. The part he loved best was when his friends came over to his place to play cribbage with him and he would tell his jokes and laugh for hours. Dennis was a one-of-a-kind gentleman who was there for anyone who needed help. He had a heart of pure gold and expected nothing in return. Everyone was lucky to have a friend like him. Dennis was loved by so many people and his legacy will remain forever. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 19, after 7 pm, at the Elder Centre (Fishing Road).
