Ro was the best of the best. The sweetest soul, the funniest person, her smile was contagious and her laugh was almost guaranteed to make you laugh out loud. She was selfless, she was kind, she was caring. She was like a second mother to not only me but many other kids. I clearly remember being dropped off in the mornings before school, the way she would threaten my life if I touched her sugar crisp… and the way I in return would make fun of the way she needed to have her cereal patted all down into the milk, while drinking her milk in one cup, and orange juice in the other. My favourite memory of Ro is probably when she doubled as our lunch monitor, and lunch bell all in one… cause we ALL knew it was lunch time when we heard Ro coming down over the hill in the old lobster car! She made the best meals, yet was such a picky eater herself, which always made us giggle! She loved my baby, like she loved her own and was always there to help in any way she could.
I’ll miss her forever, I’ll love her for always. She really was the best, and I’m so glad she plays a huge part in my most favourite childhood memories.
I hope you’re up there, playing bingo, winning the mother load and baking… cause I still want my “sex in a pan” (my favourite dessert in the world that she would make for me every year for my birthday) whenever we meet again <3
