86, Dartmouth, passed away on January 9, 2022 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. He was a son of the late Clarence and Hazel Riley, of Halifax Dad worked for many years as Manager of Dominion Stores and later over 40 years for A.G. Brown & Son Ltd. An epic BBQ'er, dad enjoyed his seasonal camper on Grand Lake with his wife Anna and their many friends at the campground. As well, he and Anna enjoyed trips to the Caribbean during the winter months to escape the cold. In his younger years, Dad loved to golf. Dad loved watching t.v and his favourites were always a good John Wayne or western movie. Dad is survived by his children, Mark Riley (Lisa) of Edmonton and their children Mitchell and Alayna; his daughter, Tina Riley (Danny) of Halifax; stepdaughter, Andrea LaFitte of Dartmouth and her son Keegan and her grandson Leo of Dartmouth. Dad is also survived by brother, Harold of Bedford; and sister, Frances of Hubley; as well as his best pal of over 50 years Al (Pat) of Hubley. Dad was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Anna (Lafitte, nee Smith); his parents; daughter, Leslie Jane Riley; brothers, Wayne, and Junior; sisters, Shirley, and Dodo. We would like to thank the many health care professionals who were part of Dad's care and comfort over the past 18 months and in his final days; the nurses and doctors of Dartmouth General Hospital 3 East, the Palliative & Therapeutic Harmonization Clinic, VON, Continuing Care and the entire staff of Bissett Court Long Term Care which was Dad's home for over a year. Should you be able, please consider a donation in memory of Dad, to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association of Nova Scotia, or a charity of your choice. Due to Covid there will be no funeral at this time. Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate Dad's life.
