Obituary of Melanie Jane Clark

Please share a memory of Melanie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melanie Jane Clark on the evening of September 30th, 2024. Melanie passed surrounded by family and friends at the Halifax QE2 at the age of 42. Melanie, Mel by those close to her, was born on November 15, 1981, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her passion for photography and nature often lead her to a clearing by a river. She had a deep and fascinating relationship with animals, especially her dogs. Mel loved to make people smile and could easily do so with a strum of her guitar or the calming sound of her voice. In her early life Melanie grew up in the Tatamagouche area and attended North Colchester High School as well as CEC. Mel loved to play the guitar, which was fully self taught, she was also a self taught photographer. In her free time Melanie enjoyed reading and Scrabble. Melanie attended AA and NA groups in the Truro Area. Those who knew Mel knew of her ability to master any task she set her mind to in a seemingly effortless way as well as her ability to quickly light up a room with a joke and a smile. Mel loved to talk and connect with others in a way few can do, and as such made fast friends everywhere she went. Melanie’s memory will be carried on in her children Chloee Rann (Trites) (m. Aidan Rann), Jayden Poulain, and Hudson Caudle. She will be survived by her parents David Clark, and Enid Pierce (MacIntosh, Clark), as well as her step parents Wanda Goodhew and David Pierce; her siblings Michael Clark (m. Carolina Clark) Marsha Clark Robar (m. Jamie Robar); as well as her step brothers Jarod Pierce, Marc Pierce, and Adam Goodhew. Melaine will be greeted by her predeceased grandparents Edwin and Helen MacIntosh, as well as David and Jean Clark. There will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place through T.J Tracey Cremation & Burial Specialists. Celebration of life will be held at the Truro Horsemens Club on November 15th, 7-10pm. Donations can be made on Melaine’s behalf to the Truro SPCA. “God doesn’t remember our past, he gives us a fresh start.” - Isaiah 43:18-19
