Pam, Brittany, Ryan and family... I am sorry to hear of this very sad news. I thought Ricky was on the mend.
Ricky was one of a kind, a very hard worker and family man. He always had time to listen, offer friendly advice and be a friend.
Ricky I know you will be terribly missed at the taxi stand and by all your passengers and friends

Sending condolences to Pam, Ryan, Brittany & all his family & friends. Out of the hundreds of rides home from the bar I’ve got 2 distinct memories. When I first met him, I jumped in his van outside the Capri along with more men then seats but he’d never leave one behind. As we got into the bay we’re all hollering out where we’re going, who’s getting dropped first & so on. My turn, I’m going to Bridgeport big grey place, he goes “ I know” I’m confused, he says “ I know who you are and I know where you live” I also know your father. That’s when I realized he made it a point to know his passengers. & when we’re all shouting out where we’re going. He already knew & had it planned out before us! I’ll be forever grateful for getting me home safe. The second memory. He knew us all, knew where we were going, made it a point to get us all home safe. Any passenger that climbed in his van, but this one might made me realize that we weren’t just passengers, but friends he cared about. 4am staggering down the sidewalk I call him, he answers, hello, I was like hey Ricky it sounds like you’re asleep, he goes I am, I’m not working tonight, I was like damn my bad bro I’ll call someone else, he goes don’t do that, where ya at? I’ll be there shortly. Other then meeting this man from the countless drives home, I called him out of a sleep and instead of saying no I can’t, he got up and came and got me, made sure I walked in the door of my house. That’s a real friend. He took great pride driving that van even when we stuffed more then he could fit, sometimes (beers) still in our hands , loud and rowdy. He’d just say “whatsup boys, where we heading tonight with a smile”

My deepest sympathy for all of the family. I have know Ricky for over 25 years in business and friendship. Ricky was a man some will never have the privilege to call him friend. Ricky was a solid of a business partner as it get, but when it comes to friendship Ricky had that down to an art.
