My mom, Diane Black, and I are devastated to hear of Lucille’s passing. Lucille is one of my mom’s oldest friends. They roomed together in Halifax in their early teaching days and they visited at least once a year. Some of my earliest and best memories are visiting Lucille’s lovely house in Clayton Park, where she was the best hostess. Lucille would take us around the “big city”, as it seemed to me at the time, and she would always have lots of special treats for us. In later years, mom, Lucille, and I developed a love of Coronation Street, so we always had lots to talk about. Mom and I were so happy when Lucille would introduce us to her wonderful feline friends. Lucille was great fun to hang around with, and we’ll miss her sense of humour. Our condolences go out to her friends and family — we’re thinking of you during this sad time. Lucille, your kindness will be remembered forever. We hope you rest peacefully. Love, Diane and Alison Black
